If a drawing is not available, clear photos with key measurements can still help the factory review feasibility before quotation.

You can send 3D and 2D drawing files such as STEP (.stp/.step), IGS (.igs), STL, SLDPRT, DWG, DXF and PDF. If formal drawings are not ready, JPG or PNG sample photos can also be sent for initial review, but key dimensions and material requirements should be included.

The standard MOQ for custom screw and precision fastener orders is 500 pieces. The practical quotation may still depend on material, finish, tooling, inspection requirements and whether the request needs sample confirmation before bulk production.

For small custom screw dimensions, a general tolerance of ±0.05 mm can be used as a reference unless your drawing specifies otherwise. For qualifying CD-pattern features, tolerance can be evaluated down to ±0.01 mm. Actual achievable tolerance depends on the specific feature, material, size, finish and production process. Mark the critical dimensions and required tolerances on the drawing, especially thread, length, head diameter, head height, drive depth, concentricity, surface finish and assembly-critical dimensions. If you are not sure, explain the application and which dimensions affect assembly or appearance.

Sample or trial production can be discussed before bulk manufacturing. The practical path depends on drawing maturity, tooling needs, material availability, finish process and required inspection items.
